Who is he?

Wesley Appel is an idealogue - a zealot who believes wholeheartedly in the value of slinging pulpy, campy fiction and serializing it. Everything has to be a part of a greater universe. There must be vast and convoluted plot lines that cover up any holes with superfluous cameos and self-referential humor.

Who the heck does this pompous guy think he is?

Through this website, he may try to portray himself as something greater or lesser than he actually is. Clinically, he is a 32-year-old, caucasian, single, student, left-handed male previously diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder and Generalized Anxiety Disorder.

So… he’s basically just like every other millennial?

As far as what he writes, he tends to lean towards genre fiction - horror, sci-fi, and every now and then dips his toes into the sprawling and exciting world of fantasy. He writes short stories, novellas, and even has a couple of novels in the wings, and though he is a whimsical person with a mind that flits around like butterfly, writing has remained a constant. He is the worst critic of his own ability, so he creates this site so that you will be able to come to your own judgment, to think critically about his works, and to reach out and let him know what you liked and what you hated. Your feedback is valued.

Sweet, sweet humility. The world hath never known such a modest man and mayhaps they never will.
